Gender Benders Support Group

General Overview:

This is a support group for adults 18 and older who identify as trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, or gender-non-conforming. A vegan dinner will be provided at each group meeting. Folks are welcome to bring their own food and food to share if they would like to. It is not required to RSVP for this event and your participation is confidential. Folks are welcome to come as early as 5:00pm to help prepare dinner with the facilitators or just to hang out and chat. We will start the discussion portion of the support group at 6:00pm. The discussion portion will incorporate mindfullness activities, opportunities for each participant to provide a share-out, and time for open discussion. Depending on participation, we may occasionally go past 7:00pm and folks are welcome to stay after for more social time (or to help the facilitators with clean-up).

Facilitators:

The facilitators for this group will rotate from month to month and any trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, or gender-non-conforming community members are welcom to sign up to facilitate. 

COVID-19 Safety:

Please bring a mask to all Gender Benders support groups. We request participants to wear a mask at all times when they aren't eating or drinking. We request this to make this support group accessible to more folks in the community. Please do not come to the support group if you are experiencing a runny nose, sore throat, fever, chills, or other sysptoms that could be associated with COVID-19, the flu, or the common cold.
